Home Based Business

Did you know that sex was an integral part of Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich? No, neither did I. Not until I attended, along with my husband, a meal attended by a number of other home business owners. As I was chatting away with a number of the guests to my right, I could hear bits and pieces of the conversation to my left. One piece of the conversation I overheard was the word sex naturally my ears pricked up!). They were saying that there was a chapter on sex in the book “Think and Grow Rich.” Sex? In “Think and Grow Rich,” no way!

I got Think and Grow Rich from my partner about 18 months ago from my partner. He bought a copy for himself and a copy for me. This is not my type of book and I was most definitely dubious about reading it. I tried the first three chapters but put it down. It collected dust.

After the party I went to my bookshelf and dusted off my copy of “Think and Grow Rich.” I scanned the content index and found that chapter eleven was entitled “The Mystery of Sex Transmutation: The Tenth Step Towards Riches.” I promptly started to read that chapter and you know what? I was hooked.

Quality iPhone downloads is simply a matter of Chance

Where to get your next iPhone downloads from, that is the question. While it’s not a life-or-death thing, we all realize that without downloads – and we’re including games, movies and music in that – your iPhone is going to be largely useless.

Getting high quality iPhone downloads is simply a matter of directing your web browser to the right place. Try seeing what a search engine says when you type in “iPhone Downloads”. There will be plenty of options, I assure you.

If you’re having trouble finding any iPhone downloads then try these: iPhoneNova.com, iPhoneDownloadPro and NetiPhoneDownloads.com. Like we said: piphone-with-notes.jpglenty of choice, even if you’re not willing to do the leg work yourself.

So get downloading! There are lots of free sites available if you’re short on the old green. You can even download movies and music from sites like YouTube if you put your mind to it (and remember: Google is your friend).

Reviews on Wakeboard video

Byerly, the wakeboarding legend, has released a new video. I say new because it really is a new realize; I have to qualify the word, though, as this video is a compilation of older clips from previously released wakeboard videos. The new wakeboard video is called Retrospect, and you should go and buy it right now.

Released by Sideways, this is a compilation of all the best bits from previous wakeboard videos starring Scott Byerly and friends – all his friends are legends in their own rights! – and shows his rise to fame as one of the most revered riders in the history of the sport.

While this is essentially archive material it is a wonderfully compact and well produced wakeboard video. The advantage of it being a collection of highlights is, well, that every scene is a highlight. You will no doubt be hooked from scene one to the very end.

And at the end you’ll remember why everyone says that Scott Byerly is a legend.

What others are saying:

P2P filesharing Ruckus on Campus

Exciting times for P2P filesharing: Limewire, Ares, Pirate Bay, Mininova, amongst others are pushing the industry to never-before imagines heights. You can get almost any music track or movie for free whenever and wherever you want. So the concept of introducing Ruckus – a music-download service that offers fast downloads for students – as a valid alternative seems insulting and downright laughable.

Ruckus doesn’t work in the same way as P2P filesharing and simply offers users DRM-protected music files, which is not what they’re looking for. P2P Filesharing is the sharing of files, not the handing out of files by some centrally controlled agency – called the RIAA, incidentally, as they are the ones behind this proposed shift – will not cut the mustard.

Nonetheless the colleges and Universities are pandering to the whims of the RIAA and big business and ‘encouraging’ the use of Ruckus instead of traditional P2P filesharing applications. Will it work? Of course not. Do they know that? Yes, I think they do.

Torrents key to BitTorrent filesharing

A BitTorrent client is a program that allows the use of the ubiquitous BitTorrent protocol for transferring files. The BitTorrent protocol allows efficient transfer of files or groups of files – in very small segments – between computers (’peers’) rather than from a single repository on the internet. Transferring files over the web – for instance when you download something from a website – is done over the HTTP protocol.

There are many differences between HTTP and the BitTorrent protocol.

BitTorrent works by users downloads and opening a small file with information about the files they want to download. These small files – torrents – contain the detail of a public ‘tracker’. A tracker will organize peers to download the files in the torrents that it caters for.

Once a group of peers have connected the download process will start. All the torrents’ files will be downloaded by all the peers section by section: the process is not linear as it is in http transfers, and while you are obtaining the last few segments of the files someone else may be transferring the first few segments that you have on your machine. This ’sharing’ philosophy is key to torrents’ success.

Best iPhone appliaction Downloads

Apple recently announced the public release of the beta version of its iPhone SDK with new Downloads. ‎This, predictably enough, caused some interest from the community. The video of ‎Apple’s iPhone SDK release event has generated over 1 million views since its ‎release; the SDK some 100,000 iPhone apps downloads. Apple apparently experienced some ‎bandwidth issues when it first announced but these, it claims, are largely resolved. If ‎you are desperate to get your hands on the iPhone SDK (and you’d better be quick: ‎there are over 100,000 hardened developers who I’m sure are coding away right now) ‎then there is a torrent available.‎

Industry boffins are as excited about the iPhone SDK as the fans. Coding groups like ‎PopCap and Namco have been mumbling something about peddling iPhone application downloads ports of ‎popular games like Peggle, Zuma and Pac-Man through the Apple applications store.‎

Someone will make a lot of money from the iPhone SDK and we reckon that Apple, ‎with undeniable marketing prowess, have come out smelling of roses once again.‎

We7 free music downloads

Napster, We7, Sony BMG, Vodafone, O2, 24-7 Entertainment. What do these big names have in common? They’ve all been linked to free music downloads. You may be thinking that the only reason Sony are in that list is because they’ve probably been suing someone lately for providing these free downloads. You’d be wrong. Sony have recently teamed with We7 – Peter Gabriel’s ad-supported online music store – to allow the latter to offer its entire back catalogue for online streaming. We7 offers music streaming and downloads that are free of cost and free of pesky DRM, and it appears that Sony’s inventory will be offered on the same bases.

Wow.

Wow is the word. Sony sanctioning a site offering free music downloads is akin to Satan putting his arm around God and discussing a fishing trip. What this will do to sales of music downloads is anyone’s guess. What it will do sales of CDs – already suffering at the hands of paid-for music downloads – is fairly clear.

Home Business History

From its origins 50 years ago as a simple multi-level marketing venture, home based business opportunities have gone from strength to strength. Not only has home business become an accepted and well-used phrase in our vocabulary, but the companies leading the market in these areas are providing good incomes to many home-based entrepreneurs across the world.

The switch from the slightly niche – and perhaps suspiciously received – multi-level marketing ventures championed by early pioneers such as Amway to the household names such as Buffet, Trump and Kiyosaki came with the Internet. Whilst you didn’t have these ‘business gods’ in your room helping you with your venture, it really did feel like it.

Wealth Masters International and LifePath Unlimited are two of the bigger players of the 2000s, both bringing vast opportunities to those with the ‘get up and go’ to make it happen. Acceptance and media coverage have helped a great deal and films like “The Secret” assisted in getting the idea into many more homes than would otherwise be possible.

Mobile Adsense

Making big things smaller is really, really difficult. Making powerful iPhone application that come out now challenge computers small has been seemingly easy for the lab boffins around the world. In fact it hasn’t – and the massive research budgets tell a story that shows all clues are pointing at iPhone applications– but we push on anyway. And the fruits of this push can be seen everywhere, from the incredible power harnessed by your desktop computer, to the fascinating intelligence of your car, to the sexy lines hiding raw computational genius in your iPhone.
Computers are being mated with Mobile technology with astonishing results. Think iPhone, think ultra-mobile PCs.
How far can this MobiCom revolution go? Moore’s law tells us that computers will become twice as powerful every 18 months. Even Mr. Moore knew that there must be a limit to this onward march, though, and we must be nearly there. Except that’s what people were saying ten years ago. While there is a market for sexy, powerful gadgets there will be money pushing its advancement.
The mobile gadgets are next in this long line to get compacted and deliver a power punch. Will iPhone deliver that punch is yet to be seen.
