If you are serious about your home business then getting serious about your home office is a very good start; fortunately you can get serious about your office space without spending serious money. You need five things: a desk (a table will do), a computer, a telephone, a chair, and some quiet dedicated space.
The quality – and therefore cost – of each of these essentials may well depend on the type of home business that you intend on running: a venture that requires listening to training calls or attending teleconference then a wireless headset can greatly increase your productivity in your home business. A wireless headset allows freedom from the constraints imposed by the telephone cord. It is important to consider these factors before buying anything. Likewise a home business that requires time on the internet may need a good connection; if you are likely to require mobility (both these things are becoming increasingly necessary in modern a home business) then consider a good sturdy laptop.
